To promote awareness of issues relating to refugees and asylum seekers.

To Respond to local issues as they arise.

To campaign on national policies affecting refugees and asylum seekers.

Membership is open to all who share these aims, irrespective of personal affiliations and beliefs. We produce a bi-monthly newsletter and hold a number of open meetings throughout the year.

Lewes & District CND campaigns for the abolition of all nuclear weapons. It also operates as a local peace group, campaigning, for instance, against the 2003 war invasion of Iraq.

FOR A PEACEFUL WORLD

The Lewes Group of Amnesty International meets on the second Thursday of each month at the Hibbert Room, One World Centre, Westgate, 92a High Street Lewes from 8-10pm . As well as planning our campaigning and fundraising work we also regularly invite guest speakers. All Welcome.
